BBC - History - King George VI (pictures, video, facts & news)

From the documentary, perhaps it was Channel 4, one could see that the King was nervous about speaking before large groups, let alone the 100,000 at the Ibrox football stadium. One of the major bishops put him down in the media, and he was regarded as being a bit simple because of his speech impediment.
But it was really good in the program to also see the interviews with others who had been worked with by Mr. Logue, the name of the therapist who helped them and the King, work on this condiition.
