Is The Queen a fan of racy daytime TV chat show Loose Women?
Racy daytime chat show Loose Women has a surprise fan in The Queen, it has emerged.
Co-presenter Carol McGiffin said she had learned the 85-year-old monarch often sits down to watch the controversial afternoon series, reports The Sun.
And Carol — who with her other female panellists regularly chats saucily about sex and takes swipes at men — said she was keen to have the Queen on as a guest.
The 51-year-old, whose fiancĂ© Mark Cassidy is 22 years her junior, said: “I’d love to have the Queen on the show.
“I have been told she watches it and that the Royal household tunes in. I think she’s totally normal.”
Carol was speaking at Essex Fashion Week at Woolston Manor near Chigwell when she claimed the ITV1 show had a Royal following.
It would mean Buckingham Palace has been treated to guests including acid-tongued US comedienne Joan Rivers — who was banned for branding using swear words to attack actor Russell Crowe live on Loose Women.
A Palace source said: “The Queen is aware of the show and has seen it. A lot of people would be surprised at what is watched by members of the Royal household.”
One is amused, it turns out that very likely, the Queen is just like the rest of us in regard to guilty pleasures, it seems that she enjoys the odd bit of daytime tabloid type tv!. A bit of loose women every now and then seems to do the monarch of the UK some good. We say brilliiant!.
Carol Mcgriffin on of the co-presenters of the show has come to understand that Queen Elizabeth, eighty five years old and counting is an regular fan of the show.
We love the cartoon accompanying this article by the way.
