Nature is so amazing. This was discovered in Papua, New Guinea, although scientists do not know whay the plant has eveloved into this behavious pattern.
It must be said that the statement is that the flower consistently flowers during the night. It was found by a Dutch Author Ed de Vogel, and was found to flower at night when it returned with Mr. Vogel to the Netherlands.
It flowered once then withered away, apparently part of the pollination cycle.
It comes from an area that was not easily accessible, but due to the work of loggers, the area is now open to the work of scientists and botanists.
