They said no the news last night that Murdoch's son, who is at the centre of attention right now regarding the News of the World phone hacking scandal, will probably face years of legal and media attention over his part in this situation.
They predict that the former members of his staff will gradually begin to reveal the truth about what happened, he claims he knew nothing about the way the paper hired investigators and specialists to spy on Prince William and other media figures and celebrities. In fact one of the members of the panel at yesterday's committee meeting accused him of being the first mafia leader in history to be unaware that he was at the head of a criminal enterprise.
It is a shame though that so many journalists lost their jobs, the News of the World was one of the few newspapers doing well, despite the onslaught from the internet, blogging, Facebook and other media.
