Introducing The Royal Collection

The Royal Collection is as close we get to an 'official' Collection.  What makes the Royal Collection of Commemorative China so special is that it is commissioned by the

Royal Collection itself; this is the charitable trust which looks after tens of thousands of drawings, paintings, furniture, watercoliurs china, crystal, clocks, silver, jewellery, sculpture, books, prints, manuscripts, maps, arms and armour, textiles and fans, which are kept in the Royal Palaces.  Every item that  is produced for The Royal Collection can only be done so with the say-so of the Royal Household.

The Royal Wedding Commemorative collection being produced for this year's Royal Wedding is modern in style and consists of white ribbons, doves and hearts in silver, grey and gold.  There are also two silver doves bearing a gold wedding ring.  The centre of each piece features an emblem in silver and gold of the initials of Catherine and William, above which sits the coronet of Prince William of Wales.
This Royal Wedding Commemorative collection is made in Stoke-On-Trent, home of the English potteries.  it is manufactured entirley by hand from fine whte bone china.Every piece carries the Made In England backstamp.
Each piece is wrapped in white tissue, featuring designs inspired by the wall hangings of Clarence House.  And naturally, every piece from the Royal Collection is gift boxed and comes with a descriptive leaflet.

The World's Most Famous Moustache Mug - a True Media Star! by Stephen Church MD of The UK Gift Company

Let me introuduce you to my friend on the right.  Meet my Moustache Mug.  Not the most common of household articles, but back in 1901, this was an essential fashion item for those Victorian gents with their big bushy moustaches, enabling them to sup their afternoon cuppa without getting their moustaches soggy!  But this moustache mug is no ordinary moustache mug.  Far from it.  This mug was manufactured by Belleek China in Northern Ireland to commemorate the Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra.

"n recent weeks, this mug has become something of a celebrity, having made appearances on BBC Breakfast, on Bill and Sian's famous sofa.  It has been viewed and admired on the BBC News 24 TV Channel, as well as receiving coverage on regional channels throughout the UK.  I even had an executive from America's CBS Television begging me to sell it to her!

This beautiful piece is certainly the oldest Royal item we have in our archives and we're delighted to show it off as we tell the world about our growing collection of Royal Wedding gifts.
The question - what piece from this Royal Wedding will be the media star in a hundred years time.

Royal Wedding Fever

It seems an age ago that the wonderful news broke of Prince William of Wales' engagement to Kate Middleton. With the wedding date now set for late April, the excitement is already building. Our Managing Director was the first to be quoted on Sky News, saying "It's just what the country needs" In the last few years, with the new generation reaching adulthood, the popularity of the Royals has begun to grow once again. "This will give us all something to look forward to, particularly as economic times are so tough - there will be street parties, bunting, a public holiday ..." .  We've also been fortunate enough to be featured on the BBC News Website on the Sky News Site and many others.

So it's all systems go and we're expecting news every week of the new Royal Wedding launches as they 'roll off the presses'.
